Host Family Services continues to grow ~ As of the end of May 2009 the program is supporting 64 individuals in a variety of models. Since June of 2008 we have seen an increase in placements of 17 persons served; that is an increase of 26.5% in one year.

Along with healthy growth in the program, we have hosted great information sessions and will continue this coming year.  Last year we had a session on Mental Health issues and one on Applied Behavioural Analysis.  Coming in the next few months will be a session on Positive Behavioural Supports and another on Drug Identification and Use.

All the persons served in Host Families are thriving and doing well.  The families are happy and many are making plans for the summer holidays.  "D" and her Host Family Care provider are planning a trip of a lifetime up to Bella Bella this July.  They would love to take along any gently used donated books to share with that small community.  If you would like to help out, please drop your books off the Head Office before the 1st of in July. How does Las Vegas and Disneyland sound? Well that is where "R" and his host family will be heading to this summer also.
