New Stage Door Production
Dazzles ILLUMINARIA Audience

On Saturday September 16th, Stage Door debuted their new Dance Production to an enthusiastic audience in Mission, BC. The performance was one of the highlights of the ILLUMINARIA Festival, hosted by the Mission Association for Community Living. The thirty minute production incorporated tribal dance and rituals from all over the world. Each of the 10 Stage Door actors who took part in the presentation added their unique creative styles to produce a incredible visual spectacle. The overlying theme in the various dances put on by Stage Door troupe was that of Life, Death and Rebirth. Sandra Vinciguerra had the climatic role of the Phoenix Goddess and her solo dance borrowed heavily from East Indian traditions.

After three long months of learning new dance steps and tribal lore, the Stage Door troupe certainly earned the many accolades that the record size audience gave at the end of the show. Special thanks to Bernard Yankson (the Stage Door guest Dance Instructor) and Andrea St. Jules (Dance Jam instructor) for inspiring everyone at Stage Door to take this bold new creative direction.
