ODYSSEY DAY PROGRAM
A Place Where Seniors Can Commune and Participate

The Odyssey Day Program opened its doors in October. That was incredibly fitting, as the Odyssey Program opening coincided with Community Living Month. Three days a week, this program supports seniors with activities, their social networking, emotional supports, health and wellness check-ins and a variety of hobby oriented projects. The program is headed up by Rob Pretli, Team Leader and works with seniors with developmental and other disabilities in an accessible and attractive setting. We see the program as a natural extension of services for our aging population. The Odyssey initiative will provide key, responsive services and supports to seniors who no longer find what they need in activity geared toward younger consumers.
The response to this program has been exceptional. Furthering MAPCL’s identification of the importance of person-centered services, we have designed programming which is age appropriate and affirming.
