MOMS AND MAINSTREAM

For all of the years this venerable organization has existed, loving families, and particularly mothers have made their mark as supporters, advocates and promoters of well being and quality of life for their children.

It remains a constant source of amazement, that parents fulfill their loving life commitment under the most difficult conditions with or without a full recognition by their children, of their efforts and striving.

Not once, but a thousand times mothers have shown their understanding of the needs of their children, being aware of and considering even the smallest comforts and preferences as paramount responsibilities. These are expectations they have for themselves.

With passion and enthusiasm, they support us too. The staff, caregivers, managers and support teams at Mainstream feel the support of the mom’s who walk beside us and continually promote the interests of their children, our agency and the goals of the Community Living Sector. The goal is to leave no one behind on the road to inclusion.

In every aspect of our work for families and persons served we have the reassurance and guidance that ongoing input and commitment by the mothers of those in our care affords us.

Similarly, the work, love and tenderness demonstrated by Host Family moms provides a testamentary example of love and hope opening the door to men and women who must find new families and a new home.

In the memory of each adult child who has had such a mother, is the truly inspiring knowledge of his or her own worth because he or she has been loved, so unconditionally and well.
