INNOVATION AND THE ART OF CONGRESS

On April 19th at the Best Western Hotel in Richmond BC, exhibitors from Community Living, Housing and other non profits gathered together to share their creative and inventive solutions to service delivery issues, service gaps and funding, educational, partnership, technology and training concepts and products.
The day combined collegial visits from participating agencies, an audience of families and a presentation by Michael Kendrick.
An uplifting element was the open sharing between groups and the interested and enthusiastic response of agencies to each others planning and efficient use fo resources.

MAPCL’s kiosk was manned by Gerry Fremming, Rob Pretli, Kathy Fournier and Jan Wood. Our literature, scrapbooks and our recent PossAbilitEase lifeskills DVD series were on display. Our major presentation was our Innovations DVD that included our most interesting and unique projects over the last two years. These included the PossAbilitEase life skills series which will be posted on our website (manual and animated presentation), our fund raising initiatives, Justice Institute Projects, partnerships with agencies such as Quest Outreach Society, and our adoption of unique information management platforms such as our Simplicity data base.
