A FOND FAREWELL

For more than eight years Jeanne Crawford has put MAPCL's best face forward. Her voice welcomed us into the office, calmed us down on the phone, solved problems and made each staff person feel noticed, important and, let's say "protected" too.

Jeanne as our receptionist used her blend of sensitivity and fairness to provide the best possible impression to the outside world who phoned or visited our offices.

Her familiarity with programs, efficiency and organization made our front desk a favorite hub for all of our staff from the field and in the office.

The greatest tribute we can give to Jeanne is that we all felt safety and comfort because of her concern and caring for all of us. She will be leaving to move to Kamloops where her daughter and her young family reside.

We will miss her Friday email messages about food being turfed out of the fridge if we didn't clear it out, her kindness, bowl of candies, remembering special occasions for individual staff, and her incredible relationships with clients who visited the office or volunteered. Jeanne even took sign language so that she could better communicate with our hearing -challenged clients.

Not only will Jeanne be missed, she will be remembered and fondly. Jeanne will leave us at the end of May. Celebrate her long tenure at MAPCL by wishing her well and reminiscing about your special memories of Jeanne's service.

“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
