Hello, I’m Bill Primmer and I’m a gold prospector. Only trouble was I got to so lazy from time to time and got too long digging a hole or shaft and standing instead of squatting to pan the pay dirt at the creek bank. Sure I’d found a small rock or a hillside to do panning, but not squatting, just stand and pan. It’s hard to keep or work a claim, in and out of a tunnel, tend a rocker box or a sluice, carrying out the buckets or gunny sack of gold bearing dirt to wash but darn it sure I want that gold!
A whole lot of gold like so many others in the fields of gold, I don’t want sore or broken bones that would hamper my digging, panning and washing all that gold. Like now or never heh?
Well if I do squat better not fall in the water if I get hot and sweating a lot all over…some gold hunter I turn out to be. Also I don’t know this sound of protecting the earth-saving the earth-water-air-land thing would wish protect our livelihood instead or they not going to let them do it. Dragging the economy to oblivion never to rise either, if they want to live their utopian lifestyle they can have it and I don’t want it, just sticking to my own life not theirs and green living is for greenhorns and I’m not no greenhorn period!
Gold is the last and final resort as I put my hands on it. As hundreds of single men men like me to use a pan, pick, shovel, rocker box and sluice, set up a shelter and put your back to it! Gold is still on the loose in the ground and undiscovered maybe not in Klondike but elsewhere nearby, 100,200 miles from you or me like Cassiar, Cariboo or Fraser river, Rock creek, along its sandbars on the Yukon river, hidden at the hillsides along the that stretch of rivers and creeks, also Big Bend, east and west Kootinays and the Similkameen-Tulameen. RUSH ON!!! |
