A NEW YEAR'S WISH

In the bright beginning of 2008, we at MAPCL wish you freedom, peace, hope and comfort. It is our best thoughts that embrace the idea of inclusion, choice and grace for all of those we serve.
As our volunteers, staff, board and supportive families aim their thoughts and plans at a trajectory beyond this year, we know that our collective aim will be high.
The programs we plan to create in response to need and change will manifest, the community connectedness we envision as a fulfillment of our mandate and a commitment to a continuum of care for persons served will move forward.
The strength of our organization is in its ability to walk beside each child, young person and adult offering the resources needed for them to embrace their own futures, and to believe in their ability to achieve a higher level of independence.
We move toward the future and the horizon as a great span of arms linked and sure –footed steps, made possible by planning, stewardship and the work of every one of us .
“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”
