HOLIDAY MESSAGE
FROM JAN WOOD
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

This is the time of year in which I have the “official and formal” opportunity to address our Program Staff and express appreciation to each of you for the commitment and dedication demonstrated throughout the year.

Once again, the past year has proven to be one of significant changes within Community Living, MAPCL and the entire province. Likely, we have experienced enough change to understand and acknowledge that the one thing that will remain constant, IS change.

Allowing ourselves as a Service Provider to remain constant where necessary and flexible as well as receptive, to the many challenges we will face as Community Living continues to evolve, will hold us in good stead for the future.

As MAPCL prepares to enter into our next Strategic Planning session, we look forward to addressing and responding to the many needs of Community Living and ensuring we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those we are supporting.

Thank you to each and every staff person within MAPCL programs who continue to provide the most important function; providing direct support to people we serve.

In addition many thanks to our new classification of SSW’S who have exhibited their caring and enthusiasm since the inception of the position. Many thanks to the team of Supervisors who have embraced the changes and continue to seek out and discover new and innovative methods to improve quality of service to those we serve.

To the Team Leaders, many thanks to each of you for your willingness to remain open and responsive to guiding the staff teams through change and the support given back to me from each of you. In addition, special thanks to my administrative support who keep me organized.

Wishing all MAPCL staff a Peaceful and Healthy Holiday Season. From Reception to the office staff, Human Resources and Payroll to our Fundraiser, Accounting and across programs, we all have a contribution to make. Without each individual investment of time and energy at every level, we could not perform to the level of excellence we do.

Warm regards to everyone for a wonderful New Year.

Jan Wood
