  • Make a difference in a responsive and supportive work environment
  • Supporting individuals with life challenges can be complex. Every person we serve has unique and changing needs. We strongly believe that sharing and collaborating with staff teams is essential in ensuring that MAPCL succeeds in this challenge. In our 2009 employee survey, over 90% of staff said they worked well together with their coworkers, and that at MAPCL they are treated with dignity and respect. Working closely with people from diverse backgrounds, learning from their perspectives and experiences, resulting in personal growth is what you may expect when joining MAPCL.

  • Opportunities for growth and advancement
  • “Are we there yet?” is a question rarely asked in MAPCL when it comes to professional development. Our employees are life-long learners who benefit from an extensive in-house training program and opportunities to diversify their skills and experience. In over 60 different programs, staff with a specialized focus support our persons served. MAPCL is developing a new mentoring program to support staff while they assume increasing responsibility. We have several supervisory and management roles staff can grow into. MAPCL offers many avenues for career advancement.

  • Competitive wages and excellent benefits
  • MAPCL recognizes that remuneration is an important consideration in your employment planning. Regular employees working 20 hours a week or more receive comprehensive Health and Welfare benefits for themselves and their families. The package includes MSP, extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, long term disability insurance and an RRSP savings plan. Premiums are 100% employer paid. In March 2010, employees will join a comprehensive Pension Plan.
